I know this recipe for such a long time.... My mother used to make it a lot when I was a child. For some unknown reasons I simply forgot about it in the last years. I made it now again and wandering myself how come that I was not doing it lately. Such a tasty and healthy food !
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken legs (cut in 3 pieces)
- 2 onions (diced)
- 1,5 kg frozen peas (of course you can use fresh as well)
- 2 tablespoon of all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 tablespoon chicken stock
- 250g tomato juice
Directions:
- Boil the chicken legs for 45 minutes. The water added in the pan should cover the chicken pieces.
- Add the peas and onion.
- In a separate bowl mix the cornstarch with flour and chicken stock.
- Add some water in which the chicken were boiling and mix until you obtain a composition like a cream. Add more water and mix until becomes more liquid.
- Add this flour composition over the chicken and peas.
- Add also the tomato juice and let it boil for 30 minutes.
