Let's play with food. We color the pure and we make a face. One calm, one nervous. Which one do you prefer?
I have chosen to color the pure in the most natural way, with beet that I have produce myself in our green house. Some time ago after the harvest, I have boiled the beet, let it cool and freeze it. Now it was ready to use it.
The result was a pink pure ... what else could be more interesting for a little girl?
Ingredients:
- 2kg potatoes
- 50g butter
- 100g milk
- 1 beet (boiled/steamed or not)
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
Directions:
- Peel potatoes and cut them in slices.
- Steam the potatoes for 45 minutes. If the beet is not boiled/steamed already, you can add it near the potatoes to be steamed together.
- Dice the beet in small pieces. You can also grate it if you prefer.
- Use a mixer to smash the potatoes.
- Add the milk and the butter to make the pure more smooth. Feel free to add more milk or butter at your own taste.
- Add the diced beet and continue to mix until you get an uniform color.
- Serve it warm or keep it covered in the fridge for the next few days.
And this is the more angry version :)
