A simple and classical recipe for a flan. It is very soft and has an incredible vanilla aroma.
Ingredients:
- 400g shortcrust pastry
- 90g maizena (corn starch)
- 1 vanilla bean
- 4 eggs
- 1l milk
- 150g sugar
Directions:
- Bring the milk with the vanilla bean to boil. Remove the vanilla bean.
- In a bowl mix the sugar with maizena.
- In a pan, beat the eggs and add the sugar with maizena.
- Pour the milk into the egg composition by stirring continuously.
- Heat this composition, continuing to mix for 2 minutes.
- Lay the shortcrust pastry on a tart pan.
- Put the vanilla composition into the pan.
- Bake at 180ºC for 40 minutes.
